This sword, believed to have been forged between 400 and 700 BCE, was discovered in 1956 in a Chu Dynasty tomb in Hubei Province, China. According to its inscriptions, it belonged to King Goujian. Despite being submerged in a tomb for over 2,500 years, it remained in pristine condition with a still-sharp blade. Its remarkable preservation is attributed to its copper and tin composition and an almost airtight scabbard.
