Illustrating the “Streets” level

Each illustration starts with a summary:

“STREETS – A row of sidecars (5-6) with flat tires in a large parking area (interior courtyard). Maybe also other vehicles in the distance …”.

Thibaud accompany this summary with references (vehicles, backgrounds, uniforms, etc):

We then have a Skype session with Vincent Filipak to exchange ideas, and he creates a 3D mock-up to allow us to easily move elements and the camera around in order to choose the right framing:

Once the framing is done, Vincent creates additional elements to complete the scene and then renders it all to create an image…

… that he will retouch by adding final details and ambiance, resulting in the final image (one of Thibaud's favorites!):
