Creating the illustration “Cliff”

Discover the creation process for this illustration.

Brief: the commandos must climb to the top of a cliff and position ropes to help the soldiers climb after them. I think the picture “Rangers-pointe-du-hoc” is interesting. Seems important to me to feature both the end of the cliff and the sea+beach.
